On July 7, 2026, the Abu Dhabi Youth Council concluded the fifth edition of Tamkeen, which included an Agentic AI for the UAE Hackathon organized in partnership with EDGE Group to advance Agentic AI and empower Emirati innovators through practical solutions for national priorities. Earlier on July 7, EDGE Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Basilicata regional government in Italy, aiming to advance industrial cooperation, technology exchange, innovation, and workforce growth, further consolidating the group's presence. This agreement occurred during an official EDGE delegation visit to Costruzioni Motori Diesel (CMD) in Atella, where the Emirati defense conglomerate agreed to acquire a controlling stake in the Italian propulsion company. Also on July 7, Terra Drone Corporation signed an MoU with IGG, a core company of EDGE Group, to collaborate on defense applications, including interceptor drones for counter-measures, accelerating Terra Drone's expansion into the UAE defense market.
