On September 17, 2026, DreamWorks Animation, in collaboration with Cosm and Universal Film, announced plans for the world’s first animated cinematic experience in Shared Reality, designed to transport guests into Shrek’s “Land of Fairytales.” Earlier on the same day, the studio revealed that the original "Shrek" film, which premiered in 2001, is being reimagined for a new generation, 25 years after introducing characters voiced by Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and John Lithgow. Previously, on September 11, 2026, Jollibee announced a global partnership with DreamWorks Animation for the worldwide theatrical release of the original film "Forgotten Island" on September 23, 2026. The film features lifelong friends Jo and Raissa, who discover a mysterious portal leading to Nakali, a fantastical island filled with mythical creatures inspired by Filipino culture.
