DirectOut is a privately owned company based in Germany. Founded in 2008, it employs approximately 10 individuals. The company specializes in developing pro audio connectivity, networking, and bridging solutions for broadcast, studio, live, and installed sound applications. Its products, distributed under the brand ‘DirectOut Technologies’, offer solutions that build bridges between systems based on different audio formats such as MADI, SoundGrid, Dante, RAVENNA, and the standards AES67 and SMPTE ST2110-30/31.
DirectOut announced compatibility between its PRODIGY ecosystem and Yamaha's DM7 Series and new DM5 digital mixing consoles on September 11, 2026. This integration allows engineers to directly control analog gain settings and essential preamp functions from the Yamaha console surface. Previously, on September 9, 2026, DirectOut stated it would present new smart audio technology at IBC 2026, featuring ACE and USB.MADI for their first broadcast event appearance. ACE combines the processing power of PRODIGY and MAVEN platforms into a compact form factor, while USB.MADI establishes a direct link between DirectOut MADI systems and computers. This followed the July 9, 2026, upgrade of the Coca-Cola Arena's resident audio infrastructure in Dubai with DirectOut PRODIGY.MP.
DirectOut's customers primarily consist of broadcast professional services, entertainment content rights and media managed services companies. Examples of DirectOut's customers include The Industry LA, Dome Productions and Nerdmatics.
