Confederacao Brasileira De Desportos Aquaticos, also known as CBDA, is a State Owned entity headquartered in Brazil. Founded on October 21, 1977, initially as the Brazilian Swimming Confederation (CBN) after dismembering from the Brazilian Sports Confederation, the organization, with approximately 100 employees, reported $8.9M in revenue as of 2023. The confederation was renamed in 1988 to reflect its role as the governing body of aquatic sports in Brazil, managing swimming, open water, water polo, diving, and artistic swimming. It currently has all 26 Brazilian states, in addition to the Federal District, as affiliated federations.
