COCESNA, also known as the Central American Corporation of Air Navigation Services, is a Non-profit organization headquartered in Honduras. Founded in 1960, the corporation employs approximately 270 individuals and specializes in providing services for airlines and aviation.
On February 17, 2026, COCESNA and Thales signed two contracts to modernize COCESNA's Aeronautical Message Handling System, Aeronautical Information Management system, and navigation aids infrastructure. This modernization effort will impact six Central American countries: Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. Previously, on January 22, COCESNA initiated remodeling works for offices at the La Mesa Substation in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, as part of its strategy to improve facility conditions for collaborators. This followed the inauguration on January 9 of an X-ray inspection system at the international airports of La Aurora (AILA) and Mundo Maya (AIMM) in Guatemala. COCESNA, in collaboration with the Member State of Guatemala, implemented the system to strengthen airport and operational safety in line with international civil aviation standards.
