The organization functions as a Swedish football club based in the borough of Bromma, in the western parts of Stockholm municipality. It is recognized as a significant football club in Europe based on its number of active youth teams of all ages, having had 247 teams and 3,000 players in 2007. Its men's team competes in the Allsvenskan, the first tier, and its women's team plays in the Damallsvenskan, also the first tier.
