Founded in 1992, the company employs approximately 40 individuals and reported $33.5M in revenue as of 2025. It functions as a tier 2 media tech buyer. The company specializes in entertainment content rights, operating as an independent film distributor, theatrical exhibition partner, and multimedia enterprise across Central and Southeast Europe. Initially established in Zagreb, Croatia, it distributes theatrical, home video, television, and digital VOD content throughout the Adria region, including Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and North Macedonia. Blitz holds exclusive regional theatrical distribution partnerships with major studios such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount Pictures, Walt Disney Studios, and Universal Pictures, in addition to international independents including Lionsgate and STX Entertainment. Beyond distribution, the group co-owns and operates CineStar Cinemas, a multiplex cinema chain in the ex-Yugoslav region (in joint venture with Vue International), and manages specialized pay-TV and digital channel bouquets, including CineStar TV Channels.
