AIMS Data Centre, a privately owned company headquartered in Malaysia, was founded in 1990 and employs approximately 110 individuals. Functioning primarily in IT services and IT consulting, the company operates as a carrier neutral data centre across Malaysia and Southeast Asia, providing internationally certified data storage facilities and ancillary services. Its diverse clientele includes industries such as financial services, oil and gas, OTT providers, education, and public services.
On May 13, 2026, Kenanga Research maintained its "Outperform" call on Time dotCom Berhad, citing stronger medium-term growth prospects from its associate, AIMS Data Centre, due to its expanding exposure to the artificial intelligence (AI) data centre segment. This follows AIMS Data Centre Sdn Bhd finalizing the acquisition of approximately 10 acres of prime land in Cyberjaya from Cyberview Sdn Bhd on February 6, 2026. The acquisition will enable AIMS, Malaysia’s largest homegrown data centre operator, to develop a 200MW AI data centre with an investment of approximately RM4 billion, marking a step in its long-term landbank expansion strategy to strengthen Malaysia’s position as Southeast Asia’s premier digital infrastructure hub.
