Earlier on April 28, AI21 Labs achieved state-of-the-art (SOTA) results on deep research benchmarks utilizing its Maestro tool. Also on April 28, Nebius Group entered active discussions to acquire AI21 Labs, an Israeli AI firm, after Nvidia exited previous negotiations. Nebius is concurrently expanding its AI infrastructure footprint through new data center capacity contracts with cloud specialist CoreWeave. Previously, on April 24, leaders from AI21 Labs participated in an event alongside Chroma and Baseten, which included networking and a panel discussion on optimizing modern AI systems.
